  • A builder warranty is different from a home warranty that’s purchased by a homeowner. Builder warranties apply to new home construction and usually cover any issues with materials, central in-home systems that were installed, workmanship, and other structural elements of the home.

  • During the first year, builders assume liability for specified defects in workmanship and materials that are the result of non-compliance with QBW’s warranty standards. In addition, any major structural defects as defined in the warranty will also be the responsibility of the builder for the first year. After this period, should any major structural defect occur as defined by the warranty, QBW will cover the cost of repair or replacement through Liberty Mutual.
